Salut tout le monde! Ever since I moved to France in 2020, Paris has captured my heart with its elegance, culture, and joie de vivre. And now, I’m about to embark on a grand adventure that will take my love for this city to exhilarating new heights. Allow me to introduce you to my passion project: Run Every Rue!
I’m not just your average runner; I’ve conquered the iconic Paris Marathon and left my footprints on the charming streets of the 18th and 19th arrondissements where I call home. But something was calling me, urging me to explore every nook and cranny of this magical city – to experience Paris from a perspective even the locals may have missed.
That’s why I’ve decided to take on the Every Street Challenge with a Parisian twist!
With Run Every Rue, I’m on a mission to run every single street, boulevard, and rue in this enchanting city. From the cobbled paths to the grand avenues, I’ll leave no stone unturned, no corner unexplored!
Not only that, I’ll be running Paris by the start of the Paris Olympic Games.
According to Citystrides, Paris has 5,687 streets totaling 1,238 miles (or 1,992 kilometers). The Olympics start July 26, 2024.
Each stride will be accompanied by the click of my camera, capturing picturesque snapshots of the stunning sights I encounter along the way. And I can’t wait to share every exciting milestone with you! Once I’ve conquered each 5% of the city, I’ll be updating you all on our Instagram account @long.run.travel – so be sure to follow along for regular progress reports!
💪 Run Every Rue is not just about logging miles; it’s an invitation to rediscover Paris in the most intimate and extraordinary way. As I tread the labyrinth of streets, I know I’ll stumble upon hidden cafes, stumble upon undiscovered parks, and truly connect with the city’s soul beneath my feet.
🗓️ This challenge is my chance to get to know every district, commune with iconic landmarks, and embrace the lesser-known corners that weave this magnificent tapestry of a city. It’s my chance to immerse myself in the rich culture, history, and character of Paris. 🗓️
🤩 And let’s not forget the ultimate goal – to grow as a runner and as a person! Endurance, discipline, and mental toughness will be my allies as I strive to conquer every street. But with each step, I know I’ll become a stronger version of myself, both physically and mentally.
So, fellow Parisians and running enthusiasts, join me on this exhilarating journey of exploration, discovery, and self-discovery! Let’s celebrate our love for this city and embrace the thrill of running together as we Run Every Rue in Paris!
